We invite you to join the Africa-America Institute for an evening honoring investments in better futures and visionary minds. AAI’s 41st Annual Awards Gala will take place on Sunday Evening, September 21, 2025 at Cipriani 42nd St. in New York City.

This year’s logo was inspired by three Adinkra symbols - Sankofa, Nyansapo, and Bese Saka. Adinkra are visual symbols that represent concepts, proverbs, and aphorisms originating from Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire. AAI Director of Alumni Engagement & Storyteller in Residence, Kwesi Amoak, explains the meanings of these symbols and their combined message as told in the Gala logo in a series of videos with AAI Program Architect, Felicia Appenteng.
