My experience at Ashesi University has been interactive and unforgettable. I am proud of my academic achievements since I was able to achieve my goal of having a GPA of at least 3.5 each semester throughout my four years. I was involved in different activities not only limited to academics. I tried to interact with almost all departments and clubs in Ashesi and learned a lot from them. For example, I was a career peer advisor in the Career Services department (as a CV and cover letter editor personnel) for almost three years. That was an exciting experience that helped me connect and interact with many students and staff. In that regard, I leave Ashesi with the satisfaction of what I wanted to achieve in my university life.

Fortunately, I was one of the four students nominated by our lecturers to attend the Applied Methods and Research Experience (AMRE) program that commences on 17th May, 2022 at the College of Wooster. The program ends in July, after which I plan to gain experience by working for a company in the technology industry for one year before continuing with my master’s education. I have not yet secured the job, but I am still applying for it and hope to have secured one by the end of the AMRE program.

I cannot conclude without thanking Jim Ovia for the amazing opportunity to experience an Ashesi education. Without Jim Ovia, my family could not have afforded the education. My wish is for Jim Ovia to keep having the resources and good heart to support all students in need of a better university experience that positively shapes our future.
